How do you know the summer is really and truly over?

Two things:

1. Today was my last, official day of summer break.

2. Remember the Nickelodeon television series, "The Adventures of Pete and Pete"? I'd like to recall one part of a particular episode where Artie and little Pete beat up the ocean because they're upset that summer is over. This pretty much describes how I feel about the break ending. You can watch this from the beginning up to minute 1:45 to understand what I'm talking about.

Pete & Pete! Oh my gosh, I haven't thought about that show in a long time. I didn't watch it too much; I was more of a Clarissa Explains It All person (I have the first season on DVD!).

So you go back to work today? Good luck!

Parents across the country are doing dances of joy. I'm even a little bit happy to get back to the routine and I home school! Good luck with the new crop of unruly children. Dea

Love the beating up of the ocean clip. Pete and Pete was funny, although also painful to watch.

This year is going to be a good one...I can tell.

Ah, the Clarissa days... those were fun. Underpaid and overworked, but a lot of fun.

Good luck! I had to drive DC to school today... got up around 5 a.m. This whole start of school thing isn't just hard on the teachers :)
